In September and October, we will be offering tours of our farm and dairy facilities.  Your students can see first hand how cows live, what they eat, how they are cared for and how they produce milk.  For a great "hands-on" activity students will harvest their own pumpkin and ear of popcorn. An additional activity of removing popcorn kernels from dried popcorn ears that will then be popped as part of a snack.  A healthful snack provides the motivation for discussing good nutrition.

In April, May & June  we will be offering the same tour of the dairy farm, but our "hands-on" activity will revolve around plants.  Each student will be able to choose from a variety of annual flowers to plant into a 4 inch pot and they will then bring their plant home.  The snack activity with popcorn will be offered.

At Freund's Farm your students will get a tour of our working dairy, an opportunity to harvest pumpkins and popcorn in the fall or planting flowers in the spring, a healthy snack, loads of fun and a "Show-N-Tell" bag filled with follow up materials and gifts that help tell the story of your visit.

Students will take home a lasting learning experience about modern agriculture.
